Details

A 37 acre site offering a variety of pitch surfaces. Some with 16 amp hooks ups, also with water and waste within the sheltered, south-facing pitching area. A Wifi cafe bar, and restaurant are available in the attractive stone club buildings which also have disabled and baby changing facilities. The stone-built building in the main pitching area has underfloor heating, disabled toliet and shower, power showers and wash cubicles. There is also a laundrette and outdoor children's play area.
Try a new experience by hiring a camping pod or Yurt with wood burning stove or a traditional Scandinavian hot tub which can be enjoyed on certain pitches with your family and friends.
Rivendale is also licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and also caters for anniversaries and children's parties and corporate weekends. Clients may note we have a variety of accommodation on site.
Alton Towers, Chatsworth, Matlock, Carsington Reservoir, Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne all within 15-35mins drive.

The wild flower meadow and ponds within the park offer opportunities for bird-watching and dog walking. Whilst the Tissington Trail is 100 metres from site and gives access to the High Peak Trail, Trails Triangle and Limestone Way. Mill Dale, Dove Dale, Biggin, Wolfscote, Eaton and Alsop Dales can all be accessed from footpaths from site. New-Cycle shelter with lockers Children welcome from any age.

Camping pods are tent shaped, insulated timber huts with light, heaters and 16 amp power outlet and have proved to be comfortable during even the coldest weather! They are the ideal replacement for your tent, particularly in the winter:- Camping Pods are already set up and ready to go when you arrive, completely weather proof so you're no longer having to deal with muddy ground sheets and wet fabrics. Pods are lockable and, being built from solid timber, are much more secure.

A Mountain hut shaped like a tent, constructed from timber with a shingled roof, insulated using sheeps' wool. The manufacturer recommends 5 adults max; we regard 4 more suitable. Has small timber deck outside. Internal dimensions approx w 2.83m x 4.77m l x 2.2m h.
What's in it:- Electrical supply, lighting, carpet & oil-filled radiator.
Recommended kit:- Air beds/camp beds/foam mattresses. Sleeping bags/blankets. Torch. Pans, plates, cutlery, mugs, stove. Cooking MUST be done outside.

Our timber yurts at Rivendale are wooden hexagonal cabins and are ideal in cold and wet weather as the timber provides effective insulation. We have two timber yurts, one of which contains a wood- burning stove, so don't forget to bring some wood and firelighters along or alternatively you can buy a bag of seasoned fire wood and firelighters on arrival. The second timber yurt contains an electric heater and both have a 16 amp power outlet and lighting.

Each timber yurt can sleep up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children and dogs are also allowed for an extra charge. Clients need to bring everything they would to go camping except the tent! The cost to hire a timber yurt is inclusive of all people and with access to our heated toilet and shower building.

Heading north from Ashbourne on the A515 towards Buxton, find our entrance on the RHS about 6.5 miles after you leave Ashbourne. Otherwise catch the bus from Ashbourne or Buxton. It is also possible to catch the train to Cromford station and cycle or walk up the High Peak trail to Rivendale.
